EASY JAPANESE SALAD DRESSING RECIPE IN UNDER 1 MIN – COOKING WITH CHEF DAI
Ingredients (for 1 large family salad):
olive oil or any other oil x 3 Tbsp
dark soy sauce x 1 Tbsp
balsamic or malt vinegar x 1 tsp (or substitute with lemon juice)
freshly ground black pepper
salt (preferably sea salt)
lemon juice x 1 Tbsp
Salad in this recipe:
cherry vine tomatoes x 17
chalotte x 2
shiso leaves x 3
This salad dressing has always been my “to go to” option when I’m short on time or want to enjoy a salad with a really light and simple taste profile. The saltiness from the soya sauce and the tartness from the lemon juice and vinegar really complement each other and leave your taste buds with a well rounded and balanced flavour.
My Mother used to make this for me as a child and I have continued that tradition by regularly making this for my own family. Personally I would recommend preparing a mixed salad in a large bowl, throw in a few cut cucumbers, tomatoes, sliced raw onions and a regular can of tuna. Mix throughly with this dressing, salt, pepper and lemon juice and I guarantee you’ll be hooked on the taste…..so easy!!!!!!
